Strategy for executives
Most companies believe that they have a clear business strategy when in reality, they don’t. Ask around, and most executives would tell you that beating their competition is their strategy, or that innovation or great people is their strategy, but we all know that none of those things is a strategy on its own.
To survive in today’s volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environment, organizations need leadership skills and capabilities different from those that helped them succeed in the past, especially when it comes to their approach to strategy and innovation.
Sun Wu and his team have spent more than a decade studying the key components that make a good business strategy. In their search for answers, they broke down the most popular strategy frameworks of the last 40 years, extracted their core ideas, and tied them all together into a single didactical and self-contained framework.
Sun Wu is a veteran Fortune 500 executive with more than 15 years of real-life strategy experience, where he has had the opportunity to lead the creation of multiple business units around the world and the development of innovative products.
With this extraordinary career experience, along with his extensive research on strategy, Sun Wu brings a wealth of expertise to his talks on strategy and innovation.
Sun Wu’s strategy framework was first introduced through his bestselling book Strategy for Executives, the first to present a unified and self-contained strategy system that executives and leaders can use to design and implement a strategy for any organization, even if they don’t have any background or experience.
The book presents a concise guide to help executives understand and build a winning strategy from the ground up, supported by numerous examples of modern organizations including General Electric, Amazon, Netflix, HBO, NextEra Energy, Kodak, Google, GoPro, McKinsey & Co., Rolls-Royce, Walmart, Uber, Align Technology, United Parcel Service (UPS), FedEx, Sony, IBM, Dr Pepper Snapple, Square, and Procter & Gamble among others.
The book can now be downloaded as a digital file for free on this page, or you can buy a physical copy on Amazon here.
This website and its associated social media accounts are dedicated to extending Sun Wu’s research and disseminating his ideas, as well as to connecting executives, consultants and other strategy practitioners around the globe with his work.
